Our Sandringham Estate is finished with UV lacquer to provide the ultimate protection for your hard wood flooring installation. The slightly glossy appearance is a visible reminder that the solid oak wear layer is shielded from the effects of long-term exposure to sunlight and can prevent the early ageing of the planks.
The UV lacquer enables this floor to be installed in areas that may be subject to splashes such as the kitchen or utility rooms. Providing the moisture is wiped away quickly it should not be able to permeate the lacquered layer. The Estate is a classic grade, natural wood product that is easy to preserve and maintain.
The selected planks for our Sandringham Estate are 125mm wide and whilst this can be considered a narrow style it can actually make certain spaces appear wider or longer due to the volume of boards that have to be installed. The lengths of the boards are varied and come in sizes between 300mm-1200mm. This gives variation to the installation, prevents patterns building up and provides a more natural and authentic appearance.
14mm Engineered Oak
For those customers who are looking for a more traditional hardwood flooring with all the benefits of low maintenance and long-term durability then look no further than the Sandringham collection.
Engineered wood flooring offers a high quality, cost effective finish to your house whilst increasing your property price at the same time.
Ultra-low Maintenance
Engineered oak is less susceptible to movement, bowing and shrinkage. Typically cheaper than solid wood flooring, this flooring solution utilises different materials within its composition to enhance its strength and durability. Layers of high density plywood is fused together and bonded to a 3mm solid oak veneer, the contrasting materials pull against each other to restrict all movement.
The lacquered finish on the Sandringham Estate provides a completely smooth finish to the floor which means dirt and debris has nowhere to hide. The flooring can be easily maintained using specialist wood flooring cleaning products.
