Our Sandringham Noble engineered oak flooring is manufactured to a thickness of 14mm. The base is comprised of 11mm compressed plywood, meaning the flooring can withstand levels of moderate foot traffic. This strong structural core means the Sandringham collection can be installed in areas previously considered inappropriate for hardwood flooring. The Noble is crafted with a 3mm solid oak veneer that showcases all the beauty and character you would associate with hardwood flooring.
Our carefully selected wear layer has a classic grade, this is the most popular grade and rightly so. This grade boasts the perfect balance of characterful knots, rustic grain patterns and uniform planks with very little colour variation.
Immaculate Finish
In order to promote the very best qualities of the solid oak veneer, the Noble has been brushed and coated with UV lacquer. The brushing process uses hard wire brushes to prevent new growth by removing more recent soft wood to expose the harder and more textured grain within the plank. UV lacquer has been applied to the surface to provide a protective layer against low levels of moisture and high levels of sunlight.
For those customers who prefer a pristine, glossy appearance to their flooring the Sandringham Noble is the ideal candidate. This product can be installed in areas including kitchens, living rooms, entrance hallways, dining rooms and other rooms with moderate footfall.
14mm Engineered Wood Flooring
The dimensions of the boards come in various lengths starting from 300mm right up to 1200mm. This random length flooring allows for a random pattern installation, this a traditional wood flooring design that dates back to colonial times when products were bespoke and tools were more primitive.
The Noble’s straight planks are 125mm wide, this is classed as a smaller width however they help to make smaller spaces look wider and longer. This flooring solution is fitted together using the classic tongue and groove mechanism. The tongue is inserted into the groove enhancing the strength of the floor whilst restricting lateral and vertical movement.
For larger installations and non-uniform spaces, use our handy Room Calculator to find out the amount of flooring you will require. Simply divide up your space in to different sections, measure the length and the width and enter the results into our calculator. Your requirements will appear along with 10% for cuts and wastage for your convenience. Make sure your measurements are accurate, give us a call if you require extra assistance!
