Our Sandringham Sovereign engineered oak flooring has an overall thickness of 14mm. Engineered wood boards are manufactured with a base layer of high-quality compressed plywood. The bonding and compression provides a robust strength to the boards preventing heave and lateral movement.
The warm oak appearance of the Sovereign flooring is best suited to rooms with white or light décor. The slightly stained boards provide a long-established feel associated with period style properties and certainly could be considered a more traditional wood flooring aesthetic.
Traditional Hardwood Flooring
The Sandringham range’s boards are all manufactured with an easy to install tongue and groove mechanism. Once the tongue is inserted into the groove the flooring can be nailed or glued down to the sub-floor and the installation is complete.
The Sovereign planks are random lengths between 300mm and 1200mm. This will enable the flooring to be installed with a random pattern which is also closely linked to historical hardwood flooring installations. For those customers who are looking for a charming and traditional hardwood flooring look no further than the Sandringham Sovereign.
Finished with Finesse
UV lacquer is applied to the 3mm wear layer of solid oak to form a protective shield against surface moisture and direct sunlight. The Sovereign’s board width of 190mm allows this flooring to be installed in larger rooms within your property. The combination of UV lacquer and the wider boards means this engineered oak flooring can be installed in rooms previously considered unsuitable for hardwood flooring, such as conservatories, extensions, utility rooms and kitchen-dining rooms.
Finally, the Sovereign is brushed with wire combs to bring out the natural grain pattern within the lumber and we consider this product to be King of our Sandringham collection.
